Plot[]
The beginning of the series begins with a bunch of objects in a mostly empty yellow-and-white gradient void surrounding a green-outlined white triangle they haven't seen before. One of the objects, Brain, asks about the triangle, and another object, Album, suggests someone should poke it. Glove picks up Toothpick, pokes it with her, and - saying he thinks it is alive - throws her away.
Toothpick lands right next to Candle, who asks if she is okay. She tells her she's fine, but she also tells her that she's tired of being pushed around. Cork comes and tells the two girls about the fact that Coconut will not leave him alone, saying he feels like he has a schedule for when to pick on him. Coconut overhears Cork, comes over, and checks his schedule to find he had him scheduled for a beating. He then pounds him, squishing him. He then tells Toothpick to not forget her beating.
Nabla looks through Telescope at the green triangle, and declares that it is not from the world the objects live in upon closer inspection. She then decides that the best idea is to dissect the triangle and view its insides. She asks Pitchfork if she could help, saying she's the sharpest one around here, but she refuses saying she wouldn't commit such an atrocious act. Album comes over to Nabla, saying she would assist. She tries cutting through the triangle using Album, but it doesn't work. This also leaves a scratch on her, which upsets her and causes her to run off.
Bone comes over, asking about what is happening, before being scolded by Album telling him that it doesn't concern him. Some of the objects are annoyed at Bone, with Glowstick telling him to be gone.
Ketchup curiously asks the twin Food Dyes on which one of them is the evil twin. Orange Food Dye tells him it is her twin sister, Yellow Food Dye. Envelope comes, telling the three about a town meeting. Orange is confused about Envelope mentioning a town, since they all so happen to live in "the middle of nowhere".
Frisbee shows off his javelin-throwing skills to his friends, Shot Put and Chalk. Meanwhile, Leek's hiding behind a bush to mitigate his bladder issues but struggles to do it, thinking that Hailstone is looking at him, which she denies. Frisbee's javelin eventually lands next to her, while Envelope pushes Leek out of the way to tell them about the town meeting.
As Popsicle Stick and Jelly walk to the meeting in the background, Creamy tells Pill that she wants to be called "Frosting". Cork appears right next to the two, and they both notice his condition. Envelope runs in the background, yet again telling everyone about the meeting.
Everyone gathers right in front of the green triangle, Nabla, and Telescope. Nabla tells them that the research on finding out who the triangle is is very limited. Hanger suggests they should try doing a trigger noise, before scratching on the chalkboard. After she stops scratching the chalkboard, Lyre suggests a soothing melody should trigger it, and she proceeds to play some "classical antiquity". This unfortunately fails and causes her to break one of her strings.
The next suggestion comes from Nine, who attempts to lick the triangle with his tongue. This puts most of the objects in shock, but his idea isn't working. Antimatter tells everyone about their suggestion: shrinking themself and entering the triangle's body. Upon entering the triangle's body, they find a power switch, which they push to "ON".
Back outside, the triangle starts to jitter, and everyone decides to keep their distance. He finally starts acting more alive, and the people are all staring at him. Filmy suggests someone should go talk to him, and everyone forces Leek to do so. He approaches the triangle and greets him, only for him to eat him not knowing he was alive. This enrages Hailstone, who then charges at him alongside Hanger and Brick. Out of self-defense, he morphs one of his hands into a mallet and crushes all three of them.
Filmy is upset, and starts to act like it is some sort of tragic moment in a dramatic movie. However, he is told by Nacho that the deaths were meant to be taken seriously. Bacon and Domino ask the triangle on how he would do a thing like killing people, and Pitchfork suggests they start a riot. However, the triangle has something come back inside his head, and revives the four dead people. He then states that he almost forgot that he was a demigod for a second. Everyone questions about the "demigod" part.
The triangle introduces himself as Oodle the Doodle, saying that he was traveling through dimensions looking for some fun stuff to do, and claims that most of the dimensions he had went to were pretty boring. He explains that when he first got to the Blank State, he suddenly "blanked out" and suffered a state of comatose.
After Oodle gets Antimatter out of his body, Nabla is safe to claim that he is not hostile. Fireball is holding a stick and pointing it at Oodle. Apricot tells her not to do what she's doing, but she tells him that she is curious to see what his blood looks like. Slapping the stick from Fireball, Oodle asks the objects about the fun things they do. They are curious about this, with Mitten asking him if he meant something like pushups. Can tells him that Recycling Bin has a weekly trash collection which everyone in town takes part in. Recycling Bin herself even states that it helps the Blank Slate's environment. Oodle approaches the trash collection, grabs the whole thing, and flings it off to kingdom come.
After finding that to be boring, Sock asks him about his idea for a good time. He responds by asking them about the games they play. Sock mentions that the objects play rock-paper-scissors all the time, which Glove says that he is the current champion of the game. Sock and Chip Bag then plays the game, and the former seemingly wins the round. Glue approaches Oodle and tells him about a fun game he might enjoy.
Jelly, Can, Shot Put, Bouncy Ball, Toothpick, Alef, Package, and Bacon are all stacked atop each-other. Below, Glue explains to Oodle the rules of "Stack 'Em Up." He asks about how to win the game, with Glue telling him that they're trying to figure it out. Can tells Safe that she's next in line. She jumps all the way up on top of Bacon. This makes the tower topple over due to her weight. Safe is seemingly about to fall on top of Oodle, but she lands right next to him.
He decides to leave the Blank Slate, with Safe trying to apologize for attempting to kill him. He tells her he doesn't care about it and that he cannot die. He makes a portal and is about to leave for a new dimension, but some of the objects tell him not to leave. One of those objects, being Leek, delivers a heartwarming speech to him, telling him if he chose to stay in the Blank Slate, they could have been friends.
Under the realization that he didn't think of it before, Oodle kicks the portal away, saying he never had friends. He says he is able to make his own fun if he wanted, but never had friends to do anything fun with. Since the objects have showed him what they thought was fun, he decides too show them a game he wants to try - a game show. He explains what it is, saying the objects will be competing in challenges, and after each challenge they would be eliminated from the game one by one. The winner receives, in Oodle's words, "the prize of a lifetime." Ketchup asks about the kind of prize it is going to be, and he responds by saying that it is anything they want.
Recycling Bin, Domino, Nabla, and Creamy are interested in the idea, getting ideas for their prize. Everyone else is also interested in the game show. With everything settled, Oodle is ready to start the show: Animated Inanimate Battle.
Far from the crowd, Bone is drawing a landscape with a blue crayon, confused as to what is going on. The episode then ends.
