Team 5 is one of the six teams in Animated Inanimate Battle.

Coverage[]

An Ice Beginning[]

Chip Bag, Pear, and Domino are the first three added to Team 5. Chip Bag and Domino question where Pear is, only to find Pear lazing around off the podium. Fireball, Pitchfork, Apricot, Creamy, Gold Nugget, Antimatter, and Filmy are next up. Pitchfork rejoices in the fact that she's not with Glowstick, only to remark that her team isn't much better. Gold Nugget pitches in, and says she could have Pitchfork excommunicated for that remark, since she's rich. Apricot and Pitchfork inquire Gold Nugget on her personality and quirk, only for her to say that she's rich. During the challenge, Glowstick catcalls Pitchfork from a distance, much to the latter's annoyance. Glowstick comments how, while neither of them are on the same team, he assumes that they're still "dating". Pitchfork denies the claim, saying that she doesn't like him. Glowstick laughs it off, and says to Candle that Pitchfork digs him. Pitchfork, angered by Glowstick's flirting, demands to vent her anger out. Fireball comes by and makes a joke at her expense, with everyone (sans Pitchfork) laughing at the joke... until Apricot realizes that Fireball is melting the ice beneath her. Frantically, Fireball jumps onto Pitchfork, and then Chip Bag offers Fireball a place atop of her. Fireball accepts, and while calming down, accidentally engulfs Chip Bag in flames, killing her. Fireball, who is standing on top of the melting ice, asks who on her team is non-flammable. Gold Nugget then comes up and remarks that gold has a high melting point, and is expensive. Creamy asks if the second clause was necessary, as Fireball jumps atop Gold Nugget. Suddenly, Apricot yells out, warning everyone about an incoming Bouncy Ball, causing everyone to scream. Suddenly, screen changes aspect ratios towards a more cinematic look, and turns a muted shade as Filmy monologues about "the end". He is then promptly punted off the block as Bouncy Ball hits him, leading Domino to cheers Sock for getting Filmy off. Pitchfork, reasonably annoyed about losing a team member, provokes Sock and forces him to kick Bouncy Ball one last time. As he kicks Bouncy Ball, however, he stumbles and falls into the water. Bouncy Ball flies towards Pitchfork, who jumps and flies towards her as well. In the middle, Pitchfork stabs Bouncy Ball, and the two of them fall into the water. It is shown that Fireball, ironically, is the last contestant standing and wins the challenge for her team. Oodle gives Fireball her prize: a pickaxe. The pickaxe subsequently burns up in flames. Examining the heap of ash, Oodle gives Fireball a metal pickaxe.

Smarter & Boulder[]

Team 5 is making progress. Pitchfork is screaming at the rest of her team to push the boulder up. However, Pitchfork hears the sound of an incoming Bouncy Ball, who smacks into the boulder and begins to roll down the hill. Team 5 runs after it, with Chip Bag being crushed by the boulder. Pitchfork is annoyed, and yells out Bouncy Ball's name. Later, Pitchfork gets dismayed at her team's progress and demands to know what everyone else is doing. Pear uses his "bum leg" as an excuse, whereas Apricot says that he has bigger problems, harkening back to Fireball's murderous intent. A worn out Pitchfork walks up to Glowstick, who is laying seductively on the blanket. Glowstick says that it would be a good time for "catching up," since both teams are preoccupied with something else. Glowstick states the reason for his infatuation with Pitchfork: her fiery passion meshes well with his cool demeanor. However, Pitchfork turns him down harshly, with Glowstick being downtrodden as Pitchfork "breaks up" with him. As the first few teams roll in, two teams are ultimately left: Team 1 and Team 5. Fireball asks Pitchfork to calm down, but Pitchfork goes on a tirade on Fireball. Fireball freezes in place as the word "point" echoes in her mind from Pitchfork's tirade. She looks down at Mr. Pickaxe, who tells her to use him for good. Then, Fireball leaps up into the air and cracks the boulder into eight separate pieces. Pitchfork cools down and praises Fireball for her ingenuity; Creamy remarks that there's eight pieces but nine players. Pear then opts out of the challenge, instead choosing to walk up the mountain himself. Team 5 reassembles their boulder, but are dismayed when Oodle remarks that they're missing Pear, who is strolling up the mountain as Team 1 zooms past him. Team 1 makes it to the top as Pitchfork screams in agony that they were so close to winning. However, Oodle notes that Team 1 is not missing one, but two people on their team: Roe and Glowstick. Team 5 is preoccupied, trying to get Pear to climb up faster. Pitchfork throws Hanger as a distraction, knocking Blanket off the mountain and causing Hanger to fly away. Pear finally makes it up the mountain, with Pitchfork being reasonably annoyed. He notes that he took the scenic route instead, noting that Nabla's scrambling to find her chalkboard.

Team 5 comes in 5th place, and with that, Team 1 is officially declared the loser of the challenge.
