Gold Nugget is a female contestant in Animated Inanimate Battle. She's a member of Team 5.
Appearance[]
Gold Nugget is a shiny jagged piece of gold with various angles and shines on her. In Fartists onwards, her more noticeable shines are gone.
Despite her claiming that she is a gold nugget, there could be a possibility that she is actually pyrite, also known as fool's gold, due to her design not resembling as much of a gold nugget (which, in real life, often have round and soft edges), but rather the one of fool's gold (those who have more pointy and sharp edges).
Redesign[]
In AIB 2, Gold Nugget's shine lines were removed.
In AIB 4, Gold Nugget's coloring is made darker, her color scheme has more contrast. This design remains in Season 1B, with even more contrast.
Personality[]
Gold nugget claims that her entire personality revolver around being rich and showing how wealthy she is, and she also likes to emphasize the value of gold and money. Gold Nugget could be a valley girl with her phone she received in Smarter & Boulder by Oodle (despite her lying to Pitchfork claiming that she afforded it, in Get A Grip), as she is seen using it almost all the time, making her distracted sometimes (as seen in Fartists, where she missed when Oodle threw the cookie towards her), and she was also incredibly happy and thankful to Apricot when he managed to link a crystal to her phone and making it have unlimited battery.
Because of that slip up she did, it is believed that she isn't actually as wealthy as she claims to be. That could also be implied, as stated before, by a theory in regards of her design being more similar of the ones of Fool's gold in real life. Not only that, but that could also imply that she is somewhat insecure about how her economical status is passed off to others.
Despite her seemingly entitled and somewhat rude nature, she's still caring and kind towards her team, and always tries her hardest in the competition in order to not make her team lose. This is seen when she lets Fireball stand on her (also implying that she has a really good resistance towards fire), and is the only one to be actively worried about their boulder rolling away.

Trivia[]
- Gold Nugget is fire proof, and she said it's also very expensive.
- She is the first contestant to have a smartphone, as she took herself a selfie as Team 5 won in Smarter & Boulder.
- As of August 2021, her body lost the shine squiggles around her body.
- She is the only character starting with a G where the following letter isn't L.
- Despite her being referred to as a gold nugget, her design doesn't resemble the appearance of gold nuggets in real life, but more so of fake gold. This could be a decision made to be direct reflexion of her personality.
- A running gag involving Gold Nugget is where whenever Gold Nugget says she's valuable/rich, a dark green background with dollar symbols on it will fade in and out, along with a cash register sound effect playing.
- Her phone got redesigned for the first time in Sun Blocked.
