"Oodle, what have you done?" - Apricot, An Ice Beginning
Apricot is a male contestant in Animated Inanimate Battle. He's a member of Team 5.
Appearance[]
Apricot is a peach apricot. In "Get a Grip", Apricot is revived with a leaf on his stem at AIB 3.
Redesigns[]
In AIB 2, Apricot's coloring is made more saturated.
In AIB 3, he gains a piece of branch with a leaf.
In Season 1B, Apricot's coloring is adjusted, and his leaf is made darker
Personality[]
Apricot is a bit of a nervous wreck, tending to leave things to the imagination when in stressful situations. He can be timid and even a bit shy but gets along with about everyone. He is also unlucky, as he usually gets into mishaps such as getting stabbed by Fireball twice, he is mostly used as Fireball's punching bag.
He also appears to have a penchant for science, shown when he is explaining the effects of Farty colliding with Fireball in An Ice Beginning as well as engineering, making the "Pear Detector" in Fartists and then afterwards in Sun Blocked helping Gold Nugget with upgrading her phone using the purple crystal.

The Pilot[]
Apricot doesn't make a major appearance in the episode, but he comments that he think he's in love when Lyre starts to play a melody as a trigger noise to awaken Oodle.
An Ice Beginning[]
Apricot is chosen for Team 5 and is in the group that Pitchfork mentions isn't a much better team than with Glowstick. When Gold Nugget is offended, Apricot questions her personality other than being rich. He's next seen during the challenge laughing at Fireball's "red hot" joke before shockingly telling her that her temperature is melting the ice. When she accidentally disintegrates Chip Bag, he's seen with a shocked expression along with the rest of the team. Apricot later points out Bouncy Ball flying at them at a high speed, causing them to scream and then confused during Filmy's speech. He then screams as everyone (except Fireball) is knocked off of the ice block via Shot Put. When Fireball is awarded the Pickaxe, he frighteningly asks Oodle what he's done.
Smarter & Boulder[]
Apricot first appears in this episode getting stabbed in the head with Fireball's pickaxe. He asks her why she did it, to which she wanted to see if apricots had a center, much to his horror. He's then startled by Oodle's megaphone. He looks in shock as apricots are served at Team 6's elimination before getting stabbed by Fireball again and screaming. He follows behind while Team 5 pushes the boulder up the mountain. When Chip Bag gets crushed, he comment how he's close to dying as well. He groans with the rest of his team when they aren't allowed a break. Later, Apricot says he'd love to help but has bigger problems, that being Fireball and her pickaxe, causing him to whimper in fear. He helps carry the boulder up the mountain and lies down in relief that they presumably won. But then looks in confusion when Pear isn't up the mountain. Their team ironically gets 5th place nonetheless.
Get A Grip[]
Apricot and the rest of Team 5 are gassed and dismembered in a claw machine, freaking out about Oodle presumably harvesting them for whatever "alien species" he's a part of, which was proven false. Later when Fireball complains about Mr. Pickaxe being stuck inside of the claw machine, Apricot replies that it's probably a good thing. When Domino attempts to get Mr. Pickaxe out of the claw machine with a blindfold on, he slips and slices Apricot in half, who is later recovered with a newfound stem on his head. His team is disqualified due to PItchfork's outburst and is up for elimination
Fartists[]
During the elimination, he is the 3rd person safe with only 167 votes. When Pear is missing, Apricot offers to use his Pear Detector, which doesn't feel like working and powers off. He comments that he supposes it can't beat the real thing. He looks in slight distress when Pear starts to angrily call out Oodle, and then is shown to be the most devastated after he is sent to the Doodleverse. He yells that they don't even know if he got the most votes and looks towards Pitchfork in anger when she's declared safe. He then angrily looks at Oodle with the rest of Team 5 because of Pear's elimination. Fireball suggests to use Apricot's insides as the paint, which he fearfully rejects. When Fireball says that his dead body would actually be useful this time, he yells that no one has ever unironically uttered that sentence, followed by him asking what's wrong with her. She attempts to crack him open anyway, saying it's like ripping off a bandage, which he calls a bad analogy. He's spared as Coconut snatches Mr. Pickaxe away. He then helps Team 5 rip Creamy apart to use as paint for the challenge, getting them a 6/10.
Sun Blocked[]
His first appearance in the episode is after the world goes dark due to Frisbee chucking a javelin at the sun. When Oodle fixes the sun enough so they don't freeze to death, he frightfully yells about that even being an option. He follows with Team 5 behind Team 2 as Filmy stands on him. When they fall into a cave in the mountain, he thanks Fireball in a sarcastic tone for getting them stuck, which she doesn't realize is sarcasm at first. When Gold Nugget's phone and the Pear Detector gets charged up via purple crystals, and Domino's hand gets burned via red crystals, he warns the team to not touch them because of their powers. When Spore appears, he tries to reassure her that they mean no harm, but she doesn't believe them and gasses everybody with spores, Apricot attempts to stop her by thwacking a blue crystal towards her, which she catches, and freezes. Later, he combines Gold Nugget's phone with a purple crystal to make it self-sustaining, which she points out that it was smart. Fireball says she never knew about his knowledge or love of science and engineering, to which he points out her never asking about it. This causes an awkward silence between the two.

- He has been confirmed that he is dating someone on the series, though it has not been revealed who yet. [citation needed]
- He is one of the characters to have a redesign in "Smarter & Boulder", the other being Glowstick. He once again received a redesign in "Get a Grip," where he now has a leaf on his stem.
- He was a debuter in GatlingGroink57's now-cancelled camp, 'Battle for Groink Island', along with Creamy, Flaggy, Yellow Food Dye, Jelly, and Popsicle Stick.
- Apricots were used as an elimination prize in Smarter & Boulder.
- His implied friendship with Pear may be a reference to how they are both fruits from the Rosaceae family
